Usages: methyl silicochloroform is the basic raw material of silicone products, which is mainly used to produce cross-linking agents such as methyltrimethoxysilane and methyltriethoxysilane, silicone resin, special coatings, building waterproofing agent and fumed silica.

Precautions: It may fume in moist air and is soluble in benzene and ether; may cause combustion or explosion when contacting with naked flame, high temperature and strong oxidant. It decomposes and releases heat when heated or contacting with water, giving out toxic corrosive smoke.

Packaging and transportation:

1. This product should be packaged by dry and clean plastic-lined iron drum or plastic drum (230kg/drum) in a sealed manner or packaged according to the customer’s requirements and as stipulated.

2. Ensure that the containers are free from leakage, collapse, falling and damage during transportation. Prohibit packaging or transporting it together with strong acid, strong base, strong oxidant, water or edible chemical products. It shall be protected from exposure to sunshine and raining during transportation. Keep away from fire, heat source and high temperature area during stopover. Handle with care to prevent damage to packaging and containers.

3. Methyl silicochloroform products should be stored in cool, dry and ventilated places and away from fire sources and other dangerous goods. Under the conditions of standard packaging, transport and storage, the shelf life of this product is 6 months from the date of production. If it is beyond the shelf life, it can be re-inspected according to the standard and can still be used if the inspection results meet the standard requirements.
